Qiuyue Pears, which translates to " Autumn Moon Pear," are a more expensive hybrid variety introduced from Japan (the Akizuki Pear ) and must be grown with Japanese Horticulture techniques. 

They're also spherical but with yellowish/brown skin. Their size is medium to large, with white flesh that tastes very crispy and smooth. Autumn Moon Pears are characterised by their milky white flesh, honeyed sweetness, crispy texture and extreme amount of juice. Some describe the juiciness as though you are literally "drinking pear juice directly"!

They can be stored for longer periods of time under the right conditions and can be eaten directly or cooked in sweet recipes. It is also popularly used to cool down "heartiness" within the Chinese community, using rock sugar!
