Shinkansen ( 新甘泉 ), Natsuhime (なつひめ) and Akikansen ( 秋甘泉 ) varieties are discovered and exclusively produced in the Tottori region. It is well-known for its small centre core ( more flesh volume ), with succulent crunchy & fine-textured flesh and a high sweetness level of 13-14, which makes it one of the most popular varieties in the season 🍐🤤👍🏻

In September, when the Pears have reached full maturity and are juicy and sweet, they are harvested by hand and packed in individual recycled mesh socks (packaging varies from grower to grower) to protect their delicate skin from bruising during transport to markets worldwide. ✈️📦🌏
