Envy™ is a trademarked brand of the Scilate Apple variety. Scilate is the result of a cross between the Royal Gala and Braeburn varieties. It was developed in New Zealand by HortResearch, submitted for a patent in 2008 and patented in 2009. Due to the fact that the Apples were developed by ENZA, only those growers that are affiliated with ENZA can grow Envy apples.

The Envy™ Apple is mostly red with yellow specks — Delicious, sweet, and juicy, Envy™ is an apple variety that is grown in orchards in New Zealand and across the world. The flavour of these Apples is crisp and sweet, while their dense flesh stays bright long after they have been cut or sliced. They’re wonderfully healthy, but they taste like a treat and guilt-free, yet a good chunky size.
