Tokushima is a tourist destination with many spots where you can get close to and feel the beauty of nature, such as Naruto Whirlpool and Iya Valley, one of the three most unexplored destinations in Japan. There are also many delicious foods such as Tokushima's famous brand-name chicken "Awaodori" and local cuisine that has been handed down from generation to generation.
Kaki (柿): Japanese Persimmon is a variety unique to Japan. It was originally produced in China but what is sold as Kaki nowadays in Japan is completely different from what it originally was. Best-known in America as the Japanese, or Oriental Persimmon, Kaki (in Spanish, caqui), Chinese plum or, when dried, Chinese fig.
The season for Kaki is late autumn to early winter and people in Japan enjoy them by eating them raw sometimes they make them dry which makes them a lot sweeter!
