The Kiyo Plum has been the heaviest Plum in the world – larger than a clenched fist and sweeter than a peach.

A single, quality Kiyo is sold for more than ¥3000 ($30)! Since July to August is the peach and Plum season, the summer is a perfect time to enjoy Japanese Plum! 

A short-harvest high-quality Plum that is highly prized for its huge size (2-3 times the size of an egg), high in sugar content (said to be higher than peach), intense in flavour with flesh that is moist and juicy, and melts in your mouth.

It is recommended to peel off the skin before eating which may be tangy in taste.
