Mire Biscuits — The serious snack! Established In 1923, Nomura's coin-sized biscuit is very well-known in Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
Nomura fried-bean millet biscuit, selected from high-quality wheat flour, with the finest natural sea salt, creates a natural salty fragrance.
The secret of its unique aroma
The dough is cut into a distinct round shape with scalloped edges. Then they are fried in vegetable oil that has been previously used to fry beans at a temperature of 170℃~180℃. Then they are sprinkled with seawater and sun-dried natural salt with plenty of minerals, poetically described as " born of the marriage of sun and wind ", and the exquisite saltiness at this time is the secret to its deliciousness. These delicate, mellow millet biscuits are finished with a slightly sweet caramel sugar dusted on top.

It is so deceptively simple, yet " simple is best," says Mr Nomura, owner of Nomura Company that produces these biscuits. It is an old-fashioned snack that has been popular since the days of grandpa and grandma 👨🦳🧑🏻🦳🍪🌊🧂🤪😍👍🏻
